Nothing. ZapNotes does not collect personally identifiable information, browsing history, page content, location, or any other user data. We do not use analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind.
ZapNotes saves a small amount of information locally on your own device, using the browser's built-in storage. This never leaves your browser and is never sent to us or anyone else. It consists only of:
You can clear this at any time by removing the extension or clearing your browser's extension data.
To block ads and trackers, ZapNotes processes the content of web pages you visit locally and in real time — for example, to hide ad containers or stop pop-ups. This processing happens entirely within your browser. Page content is never stored, logged, or transmitted anywhere.
ZapNotes requests access to the websites you visit solely to filter ad and tracker requests and to hide ad elements on those pages. This access is used only to perform ad and tracker blocking, and for no other purpose.
We do not sell or transfer any user data to third parties. ZapNotes uses publicly available, open filter lists (such as EasyList and EasyPrivacy), which are bundled into the extension. Using these lists does not send any of your data to their maintainers or to us.
